Tectonic plates movement tracking at the Kamchatka Peninsula

Industrial Geodetic Systems R&D deployed a number of ground-based reference stations and GNSS sensors near Avacha Bay (Kamchatka Peninsula) to monitor the movement of tectonic plates. The ultimate goal was to predict earthquakes.

The project is implemented jointly with the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.
